Yalcin Baltali

Director, Resource Optimization, Novartis

Yalcin is leading Resource Optimization initiatives focused on maximizing the impact of IM US investments for Novartis IHD and CV Portfolio of Brands. Prior to Novartis, Yalcin has worked in BMS where was leading US Commercial Analytics covering the CV portfolio. He was acting as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional stakeholders solving key business questions. He has a broad range of pharmaceutical marketing and sales business acumen as well as strong analytical proficiency via academic knowledge and training. He is a seasoned professional with experience in conducting various statistical models in commercial effectiveness to help to determine the optimal (portfolio) budget allocation. He also has experience providing solutions for AI/ML based approaches for Next-Best-Action type of platforms, targeting & segmentation, sales force analytics, forecasting, and market research. Prior to BMS, Yalcin worked at Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) & Pfizer in the pharmaceutical space. He started his career at IMS Health (IQVIA) in healthcare consulting.

Yalcin recently graduated from his Executive Master in Consulting & Coaching for Change at INSEAD. He received his MBA from Temple University and completed his MS in Applied Statistics from Purdue University, Indianapolis. Yalcin also has a BA degree in Mathematics from METU, Turkey. He is also an adjunct faculty associate at Columbia University teaching strategy and analytics.

Bharath Bommakanti

Bharath is a Data Science Manager at Compile. He creates AI / ML approaches for real-world data augmentation and insight generation. He has worked in healthcare analytics for 6+ years during which he has addressed a variety of commercial healthcare problems.

Christel Chehoud, PhD

Senior Director, Global Commercial Data Science, Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson

Christel Chehoud, PhD, is a Senior Director within the Global Commercial Data Science at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. In this role, Christel focuses on the advancement and acceleration of global go-to-market strategies for product pipeline by developing end-to-end data science solutions for a wide range of commercial applications including healthcare provider customer targeting, omnichannel marketing, forecasting and real-world-evidence studies. Previously, within Janssen R&D, she led a team of data scientists delivering advanced analytics patient-level prediction models, clinical trial optimization, and biomarker identification. Christel holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and AB in Molecular Biology and Computer Science from Princeton University

Kevin Coltin

Manager, Deloitte Consulting

Kevin works on applying advanced analytical methods to challenging problems in life sciences and healthcare, such as improving medication adherence, optimizing sales call planning and messaging, clinical trials, and safety reporting. He has experience building statistical models in R and Python, and has worked with linear models, decision trees, cluster analysis, classification methods, data visualization, and other mathematical and statistical methods. Some of his recent work in commercial analytics includes measuring the effectiveness of sales calls using causal inference methodologies, and using clustering models to understand the market in advance of a product launch. In R&D and safety, he has worked on building natural language processing models for identifying adverse events, and using predictive models for risk-based clinical trial monitoring. Kevin has a master’s degree in mathematics and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics.

Abhisek Dash

In his career spanning 7+ years, he has helped many pharma and healthcare companies plan and realize their data strategy and analytics journey.

Chad Dau

Bennett Davidson

Senior Manager, Pfizer

Bennett Davidson is a Senior Manager in the Business Analytics and Insights Group at Pfizer, supporting Paxlovid in the United States. As part of his work, Bennett leads primary market research efforts for the US HCP Commercial and Medical teams. Bennett also works in a cross-functional pod to deliver advanced insights and analytics to solve unique challenges that the Paxlovid team faces. Prior to working at Pfizer, Bennett spent over 5 years as an external consultant with PwC and Huron Life Sciences (now Oliver Wyman) and earned his MBA from Duke University.

Cindie Dilley

Global Head of Advanced Analytics, UCB

Cindie Dilley is the Global Head of Advanced Analytics at UCB, with direct responsibility for a 25-person multinational team of data scientists and data experts which create substantial business impact and strive to evolve our long term vision to enable our strategy to 2033.

Cindie has been in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years with a wide range of responsibilities on both the analytics and brand management parts of the business. Most recently she was the global strategy/brand head for both Staccato Alprazolam (currently in phase 3 development) and Briviact. She has also served operationally as the US Mission Head of Integrated Care in Neurology. Analytically, she has lead US Neurology Analytics and Market Research and has held a number of roles in sales analytics, forecasting, pricing and market research. Cindie received her MS in economics (and ABD in PhD) from the University of Illinois with a focus on International Finance and Development Economics.

Ralica Dimitrova, PhD

Senior Data Scientist, IQVIA

Dr. Ralica Dimitrova is a Senior Data Scientist at IQVIA with 10 years of experience in medical and healthcare research. She leverages supervised and unsupervised machine learning tools to help clients gain deeper insights into complex diseases and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes. Prior to joining IQVIA, Ralica utilized statistical modelling to develop innovative tools that capture the enormous clinical heterogeneity in early brain development, promoting the implementation of personalized clinical management strategies for vulnerable infants. Ralica holds a PhD and post-doctoral training in Neonatal Brain Development and Image Analysis from King's College London.

Simon Fitall

CEO, Tudor Health

Simon has been an active member of the international life science insights community for 30 years. Through his experiences in patient data capture, analysis, modeling, and forecasting, Simon brings a novel perspective to being CEO of Tudor Health. Simon has been working in the patient-level data space for 25 years, building complex data analytics and exploration tools, as well as helping to design the creative data capture and business models now employed by Tudor Health. Simon has a BSc in Business Management from Western Governor’s University.

Suman Giri

Suman Giri is the global head of commercial data science and analytics within Merck’s Human Health Division. Michael Golub

Michael leads the Data Science Research Operations and Innovation team responsible for developing internal AI products and rapid insights within the Merch Human Health Organization. Prior to Merck, Michael has taken multiple data science teams from incubation to mature delivery organizations. He has over 20 years of experience in Digital Analytics and Enterprise Application Development with a focus on applied Machine Learning. Michael is also a public speaker on the topic of Ethical AI and sits on the Data Science Industry Advisory boards for Drexel and DeSales Universities.

Paul Gurney, Ph.D.

Vice President of Data Product, Komodo Health

Paul Gurney is the Vice President of Data Product at Komodo Health, responsible for driving development of the Healthcare Map. Before Komodo Health, Paul spent 15 years working on Commercial and R&D projects with Life Sciences companies as a Partner at McKinsey & Company. He holds a Ph.D. In Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Ira Haimowitz, PhD

VP, Product Management, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Ira Haimowitz, Ph.D. is Vice President of Product Management at Deloitte Consulting, developing and delivering strategy and analytics solutions for the life science industry.  He combines AI and machine learning education from MIT and Cambridge University with over 20 years of product leadership and consulting expertise. Prior to joining Deloitte, Ira drove product development and delivery at analytics consultants and agencies.  Ira has also led client-side  marketing and sales analytics teams at Pfizer, Organon, and General Electric Research.    He is a Past President and Board Member of the Pharmaceutical Management Science Association.

Yan Hu, PhD

Associate Director - Data Science, Novo Nordisk

Yan Hu is a PhD in Computer Science, she has a strong foundation in the technical aspects of AI/ML techniques, which she applies to develop predictive and forecasting models for a variety of projects.

As an Associate Director of the Advanced Analytics and Innovation team at Novo Nordisk Inc., Yan is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data-driven solutions to support the company's healthcare operations. Her expertise in predictive and forecasting modelling has proven valuable in projects such as sales forecasting, patient finding, and HCP targeting and segmentation for commercial operations. Yan's work in the healthcare industry for more than 5 years demonstrates her commitment to applying her skills and knowledge to improve patient outcomes and support the success of healthcare companies. Her expertise in AI/ML techniques allows her to develop data-driven solutions that can help healthcare organizations make more informed decisions and achieve their business objectives.

Yuhan Jao, PhD

Associate Director of Decision Sciences, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals

Yuhan Jao is the Associate Director of Decision Sciences at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals. Ashutosh Katiyar

Ashutosh is the Head of Commercial Insights and Analytics, Ophthalmology at Regeneron Pharmaceu-ticals, NY. He has 18+ years of experience in bio-pharma/healthcare space delivering business in-sights, leading data science , marketing mix model-ing, forecasting, & commercial analytics across US / Global. In his current role at Regeneron, Ashutosh is responsible for building strategic business insights, brand growth opportunity assessments and omni-channel capabilities. Ashutosh holds Masters in Marketing from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University as well as another Masters in Manufacturing Systems Engi-neering from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He did his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, India.

Devika Kaushal

Senior Data Scientist, Novo Nordisk

Devika Kaushal joined Novo Nordisk as a Senior Data Scientist in the Advanced Analytics team with Commercial Insights and Analytics (CI&A). She supports the most relied-on and complex analytical processes within CI&A. She has been responsible for (1) determining the response to promotions across various marketing channels and providing data-driven inputs for budget optimization across these channels, (2) evaluating the effectiveness of individual point-in-time marketing campaigns, and (3) identifying optimal targets for digital marketing. At Novo, she has led an effort to internalize and streamline various impact assessment methodologies. She focuses on improving measurement accuracy, experimenting with new approaches, and setting up efficient and replicable processes for re-running critical analyses. She is also a Computer Engineer and MBA with 9+ years of work experience in training and consulting.

Ewa J. Kleczyk, PhD, SVP

Analytics & Data Operations, Target RWE

Ewa J. Kleczyk, PhD is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Analytics & Data Curation at Target RWE that provides best-in healthcare industry real-world data (RWD) solutions utilized throughout the drug development and commercialization spectrum. Previously, she was a Vice President of Advanced and Custom Analytics at Symphony Health, ICON, plc.

Dr. Kleczyk is also a highly sought-after conference speaker and author who has published in multiple academic & industry journals, contributed chapters to several academic books as well as has been a board member of several peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Kleczyk has been an active advocate of mentoring future women leaders of the healthcare industry for which she has been recognized with multiple leadership awards, including HBA’s ‘Rising Star’ & ‘Luminary’ recognitions. Along with her husband, James Strout, she is also a Board Member on the Community Cancer Council for the Northern Light Health Network in Bangor, ME. that provides advocacy for cancer patients, and a graduate faculty in the School of Economics at the University of Maine, Orono, ME.

Dr. Kleczyk earned her Doctorate Degree in Agricultural & Applied Economics from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. She is originally from Wroclaw, Poland.

Hemant Kumar

Director Lead - Resource Optimization (Data Science), Novartis

Hemant has been with Novartis for over 10 years with his current role as the Director lead, Resource Allocation and Optimization for US Pharma Brands. Prior to this, Hemant was leading Kesimpta & S1P Commercial Analytics in Neuroscience. In his prior roles, Hemant was instrumental in driving IPMMs for US Pharma Brands, Portfolio Optimization Solutions and Analytics for Kesimpta launch, Performance Measurement & deep data insights to enable decision making.

In addition, Hemant brings with him a rich background in Data Science, RWE Predictive Modeling, Marketing Mix Modeling & Digital Analytics during his tenure at Novartis. Hemant lives in Parsippany, NJ near the East Hanover site and in his spare time loves being outdoors, hiking & exploration.

Hemant holds Masters & Bachelors degrees in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

Shubham Kumar

Shubham is a Strategy & Analytics Manager in Deloitte’s Life Sciences practice. With a background in advanced analytics, Shubham often serves as a quantitative strategist, working at the intersection of commercial strategy and data science teams to generate customer insights and drive growth opportunities. She has experience driving customer-centered engagement and commercial analytics for a number of large pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Shubham has a BS in Engineering and an MBA from Chicago Booth.

Ruoxin Li

Senior Director, Data Science and Advanced Analytics, IQVIA

Ruoxin Li is currently a Senior Director, Data Science and Advanced Analytics at IQVIA. Ruoxin has over 15 years of experience in applying data science techniques to the pharmaceutical industry. His first PMSA attendance dates back to 2008. He has been with IQVIA since 2019. Prior to joining IQVIA, Ruoxin had worked on both client and consulting sides with experience in supporting successful launches and boosting performance of inline brands. Ruoxin is leading a team of analytics experts and machine learning professionals to provide data-driven solution to pharma clients. He is a business leader with an MBA from UC Berkeley, and also a passionate physicist with a PhD from Yale. Alice Liang

Javier Lopez-Molina, MBA, MS, BA

Trained as a molecular biologist and developmental biologist, Javier leads IQVIA’s US Medical Affairs Strategy team. He partners with life science companies to leverage real world data to drive improved patient outcomes. He has worked with teams to build an RWE platform in Europe that analyzed healthcare practices and patient outcomes in lung cancer. As part of that initiative, he worked side by side with patient advocacy group representatives to incorporate the patient voice into the design of real world evidence studies. He has also partnered with teams to incorporate RWD into innovative clinical trial designs. During the pandemic, he managed content creation for the weekly thought leadership report: “Monitoring the Impact of COVID-19 on the Pharmaceutical Market,” which was awarded the 2021 IQVIA CEO Award.

Rohit Marwah

Rohit Marwah in his dual role is a subject matter expert and real-world data specialist on Commercial and HEOR analytics and is the product head of the Passport Analytics Platform. He has 15 years of experience leading advanced data analytic projects and defining commercial strategies using real-world data. Rohit has helped pharma and payer clients solve complex challenges in data curation and insights generation using descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive methodologies. Rohit has a Master of Engineering in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics and data science certification from Harvard.

Xiaoyang Meng, PhD

Xiaoyang Meng, Ph.D., is a Data Scientist from Commercial Data Science, North America Business Technology at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Kate Mulroney

Senior Director, Novo Nordisk

Kate leads the Advanced Analytics & Innovation function for Novo Nordisk’s US affiliate, which is a team of data scientists responsible for the application of advanced analytical methods and capabilities across the Commercial and Enabling functions. They partner cross-functionally to deliver business value via data mining, statistical analysis, predictive and prescriptive analytics, AI/ML and data visualization. Area of work include marketing investment analytics, A/B testing, patient & HCP finding, patient journey, segmentation and targeting, and Next Best Action analytics. Kate has been with Novo Nordisk over 19 years in both business and IT roles, in the US and Denmark, where she established the initial “big data analytics” capabilities, combining cloud architecture, open-source tools, and AI/ML techniques. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Research from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Surya Pandruvada

EVP Pharmaceutical Practice, Ipsos MMA

Surya leads Ipsos MMA’s pharmaceutical and healthcare practice and is based out of the New York office. At Ipsos MMA he has played the lead role in shaping innovative analytic solutions enabling pharma companies to launch products effectively through optimal go-to-market strategies, understand the market dynamics and opportunities through mar-ket structure analysis, and improve sales and mar-keting effectiveness and efficiency through unified commercial measurement by combining top down commercial mix with bottoms-up HCP/patient level attribution.

Surya’s proven ability to develop creative and inno-vative solutions that materially improve marketing effectiveness have been extremely valuable to his client partners. His ability to work closely and collab-oratively at each step in the process has resulted in long-term, sustainable adoption of the Ipsos MMA Unified Marketing Measurement capabilities and so-lution. Prior to re-joining MMA in 2022 where he had spent almost 6 years previously, Surya held roles of escalating responsibility at BD (a global medical technology company), Novartis and Merkle.

Surya is an Advisory Board Member at Seton Hall University and holds an MBA in Business Admin-istration from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. He also holds a Bachelor of Engi-neering, Mechanical from the Government College of Engineering in Karad.

Patrick Peristeri, MA, MBA

Director - International Analytics & Forecasting, HorizonTherapeutics

Patrick set up the Forecasting and Analytics function for Horizon in the EMEA-Canada region. He has over 18 years of experience in the Pharma business. Prior to Horizon, Patrick worked for Amgen and Janssen, leading forecasting, market research and competitive intelligence projects for various franchises, notably oncology and immunology across the EMEA region.

Armand Prieditis, PhD

Senior Director of Data Science, ICON

Dr. Prieditis has been building large-scale data science systems for over 20 years. He is currently a Sr. Director of Data Science at Symphony. Prior to that, he was Head of R&D at the Center of Excellence in Data Science at Cigna, where he built prediction systems for multiple verticals (customer & clinical, provider, client, and pharmacy) based on diagnosis and treatment codes, laboratory results, and demographics. Before this, he built an award-winning prescription fraud detection system for a Silicon Valley startup, was a Chief Data Scientist for a fintech startup, and developed machine learning systems for DNS anomaly detection, router geo-location, and movie recommendations for Neustar as a Principal Scientist/Distinguished Engineer. Earlier still, he ran two machine learning companies (one on search recommendations and the other on factory automation) and was a professor of Computer Science at the University of California-Davis. Armand’s Ph.D. in Computer Science (Machine Learning) is from Rutgers University. He holds twelve patents and has numerous publications in leading AI and Machine Learning journals.

Andres Quintero, MD, MPH, MBA

Medical Director, Global Medical Affairs, Pfizer

Andres Quintero is a physician board certified in Public Health and Preventive Medicine. He’s a Global Medical Affairs director for Pfizer’s hospital and internal medicine unit, where he leads the glu-cocorticoid portfolio.

Dr. Quintero relies on data and meta-data to inform strategic and operational decision making for organ-izations at various levels of leadership. He delivers systems-based solutions through structured problem solving that offers quantitative rigor and qualitative perspective, emphasizing defensible, practical and actionable solutions that emerge from data infer-ences.

After over a decade of adopting analytics, he’s iden-tified many challenges in this ecosystem that are served well by representing the proper mix of skill-sets in all analytics endeavors. Experts with pro-grammatic skills to access and manipulate large da-tasets are no doubt front and center to these en-deavors. What is often missing, however, is the proper medical and epidemiological subject matter expertise which is critical for proper context and methodological oversight. As an early adopter of ad-vanced analytics within Pfizer’s medical affairs func-tion, Dr. Quintero advocates assertively for the rep-resentation of these three skillsets as part of stew-ardship for responsible analytics.

Dr. Quintero is passionate about approaching medi-cine and decision making as probabilistic endeav-ors; about recognizing the many tradeoffs at play with various types of data; and proceeding with data-driven endeavors despite those limitations when the next best alternative is to make decisions in the ab-sence of empirical information.

Daniela Rosales

Senior Manager, Pfizer

Part of the Business Analytics and Insights' Data Science team, Daniela has been involved in multiple projects that look to advance Pfizer into a data-driven model. Through collaboration with internal and external partners, she has implemented innovative segmentation exercises, informed marketing strategies, and measured key outputs for commercial efforts.

With over five years of experience in the industry prior to Pfizer, she came from a consulting background working in IQVIA doing multiple projects for Mexico and Latin America. She has a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.

Sameer Sardana

Sameer is Head of Product at Axtria and leads the CustomerIQTM, MarketingIQTM, and InsightsMAxTM product lines. Sameer is responsible for using the power of world-class software products to drive data and analytics driven customer experience personalization and marketing effectiveness for life sciences customers. He is also responsible for driving Axtria’s product strategy, roadmap, and customer success. Prior to Axtria, Sameer was at Cognizant Analytics where he was responsible for a portfolio of pharma and biotech clients. Troy Sarich

Troy has worked in global pharmaceutical R&D and Commercial businesses for the past 25 years. He has led teams for major drug programs and has expertise in clinical development, data science, RWE, digital health, precision medicine, launches, market access, start-up models and major business transformations across multiple therapeutic areas. Arya Sarkar

Arya Sarkar is the Director of Data Capabilities primarily focusing on US Oncology and Precision Medicine at Novartis. As a part of his role, he leads strategy development for overall commercial market data. Arya Joined Novartis in 2019 and has since held various positions within Commercial Analytics and Data Strategy. Lutz Schlicht, PhD

Lutz Schlicht, PhD is the Chief Commercial Officer of Target RWE. He has 20+ years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical Industry, 15+ years of these in senior/executive marketing and sales positions in different countries and healthcare systems. In the US he led AbbVie’s domestic HIV, Dermatology and HCV franchises and launched as global lead blockbusters such as Skyrizi. With the introduction of the Humira ambassadors he changed the industry’s care offering for patients. Lutz holds a PHD from the University of Cologne, Germany in Physical Chemistry/Theoretical Physics.

Sagar Shah
